Instant bank transfer Store Credit Additional credit Original Payment Method

On this settings page you will be able to:

  • Enable the type of refund methods available in your portal and define their options.

On this page you will see the 3 refund methods that can be enabled for your return portal. 

For each method you will be able to enable or disable it, define its availability and custom name (if needed), additional options, and using drag and drop, sort them to define the order that will be used to display them in the return portal.

Instant bank transfer

Only for merchants on Advanced and Premium plans

 

 

If enabled Bank Transfer will be available as refund method for Instant refunds in the Return Portal and customers will be able to choose to get their money back directly into the bank account of their choosing. 

Its options can be accessed by clicking the Edit action on the menu on the right

Inside you will be able to define a custom name if needed. You will have to provide translations for the name in al the language supported in the portal, as defined in Settings/Store.

This method will only be available for selection in the Portal for customers that qualify for an Instant Refund after being evaluated by Reveni's Underwriting Model. For that reason it is not possible to change the value of the Availability option.

 Customers that qualify and select this option will receive the money of their refund in seconds after placing their request, without having to wait to return their products back to the store first. 

The cost of the products is covered by Reveni if not returned or returned in bad condition.

 

Store Credit

If enabled Bank Transfer will be available as refund method for Instant refunds in the Return Portal and customers will be able to request to receive their refunds in the form of Store Credit (as a discount code that will be emailed to the address they used for their original purchase for the value of their refund to buy at your store at a later date)

Its options can be accessed by clicking the Edit action on the menu on the right

Inside you will be able to define a custom name if needed. You will have to provide translations for the name in al the language supported in the portal, as defined in Settings/Store.

You will be able to define the method's availability on the portal: whether it will be shown for customers that qualify for instant refunds and those who don't, or only to those who don't

 

If the option to enable it for Instant Refunds is selected, customers that qualify for an Instant Refund (and select this option) will have their code emailed to them right after placing their request, without having to wait to return their products back to the store first. 

The cost of the products is covered by Reveni if not returned or returned in bad condition.

You will be able to define the code's validity measured in years, months or days since the day of issue

Additional credit

This subsection allows to define incentives for the customers to select the Store Credit option when requesting their refund. There are 3 types of additional credit to choose from:

  • Extra amount
  • Extra percentage
  • Return Cost bonus

 

Extra amount will set a fixed monetary amount that will be added to the amount of the customer's requested refund. There is an option to define a minimum eligible refund amount to prevent customers exploit this feature by buying very cheap products just to return them straight away to get the extra credit.

Extra percentage will add extra credit equal to a percentage of the amount of the customer's requested refund. There is an option to define the maximum amount for this extra credit to prevent the extra credit added to be too large if a very expensive order is returned. If set to zero, there will be no limit.

Return cost bonus will add extra credit equal to the cost of the selected return method by the customer in the previous step of the return flow. This way returns can be made free for customers that choose to get Store Credit. 

 

Original Payment Method

If enabled customers will be able to request refunds to be made to the same payment method they used when they made their original purchase.

Its options can be accessed by clicking the Edit action on the menu on the right
