On this settings page you will be able to define the return reasons available to customers to choose from in the Return Portal, their availability and options.
Return Reasons
You will be able to add as many different Return Reasons as you need, so you can get better insights on why your customers are not happy with the products they purchased
Each Return Reason will present the following options:
- Type: You will have to select one of our predefined Return Reason types. This enables us to provide you better insights when comparing the kind of returns other merchants are getting and the ones in your store.
- Custom name: Custom name for that reason that customers will see in the Return Portal. One will be required for each of the supported languages in the Returns Portal. If not enabled the name of the type will be used instead.
- Availability: You will be able to select if this reason will be shown to customers trying to return or exchange a product, since sometimes reasons might not be a good fit for both (ie: “I'm returning the product because I couldn't find another product to exchange it for” would not be a good fit to show to customers requesting an exchange)
- Blocking: If selected, choosing this Return Reason will not allow the customer to continue requesting to return/exchange the product. It will be mandatory to input a custom message to let them know why they are being blocked and that alternative courses of action they have.
- Custom Message: This option will allow you to define a custom message that will be displayed in the portal whenever the customer selects this return reason.
- Additional content: You will be able to choose if customers will be prompted to provide additional notes or an image of the product they want to return when selecting this reason. These will be mandatory to complete in the Return Portal if enabled.
