MD: Settings Page - Users
On this settings page you will be able to:
- Create user groups to manage access levels and permissions to the different pages of the dashboard
- Manage users that will be able to access the dashboard and what group they belong to.
By default there is only one user account and group associated to the merchant dashboard. This one and only user represents the owner of the merchant account, and as such the owner group has all available permissions granted.
The owner group's permissions cannot be changed. No new users can be added to it. It cannot be deleted.
The default user cannot be deleted either.
In order to give other people access to the dashboard you will have to start by creating at least one new group with the appropriate permissions granted.
Each permission refers to each page in the dashboard and you will be able to allow users to:
- not be able to access the page (if no permissions are enabled for that page)
- be able to access the page in read only mode ("Read" is enabled)
- be able to make changes ("Read" and “Edit” are enabled)
The transactions page There are also 2 extra permissions for Transactions (Home page, and Transaction Detail page) to control who can change the status of a transaction and who can request new return labels.
Once at least one group has been created you will be able to create new users by adding their personal details
- First name
- Last name
- Alias
- Email address
- Group
Once created, they will receive an email notification so they know that their account has been created and that they need to choose a password in order to access the dashboard.
If at any point their information needs to be amended, their password reset or their account deleted, it can be done by clicking on the actions menu on the right.
Likewise, ifat any point a group needs to be edited, its permissions changed or it simply needs to be deleted, it can be done by clicking on the actions menu on the right.
However, keep in mind that in order to delete a group, you will have to either delete all its members, or move them into a new group first.
