How to transform a non-instant exchange request into a non-instant refund request?
Learn how to change a non-instant change request to a non-instant refund easily with practical steps and tips.
It only applies to non-instant exchanges and to exchanges that do not generate a new order at the request stage but rather upon acceptance.
If a customer has processed an exchange request but has changed their mind and now prefers a refund for the items they are returning, you can modify the request from the Merchant Dashboard by following these steps:
- Search for the customer's request in the Dashboard. It may be in different statuses: In Progress, Shipped, or Received.
- Access the request details and select "Switch exchange to return" under the "Transaction" section.

Once the request is accepted, instead of generating a new exchange order, a refund will be issued for the returned items to the original payment method.
